Soon after becoming a Christian as a teenager, a deep interest and passion for the truth of God's Word took root in Pastor Brett's heart. Soon, that passion could not be kept to himself. At the age of 18 his public teaching ministry was underway. In the ensuing years, his heart to share God's Word with anyone anywhere put him in a diversity of settings to minister God's Word: leading a Bible study for a group of university students, counseling teens, and preaching in numerous venues, including churches, youth retreats/camps, nursing homes, college chapels, and a revival at a church in Mexico. By age 24, he settled into the role of pastor of a church in Texas and thus began a weekly pulpit ministry.
A native of Southern Illinois, Pastor Brett has a Bachelor’s
degree from Union University, a Master of Divinity with Biblical
Languages degree from Southwestern Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry
degree from Luther Rice. His goal as a child of God is to be a family man, a man of prayer, and a man of integrity. His goal as a
teacher of God’s Word is to help people connect with God in a way that results in life transformation. His goal as a pastor is to lead the church into a deep and loving relationship with the Lord, enabling them to maximize their gifts and potential to the glory of God, bringing as many people to the Lord as possible.
A lifelong
St. Louis Cardinals fan, he enjoys reading, studying history, listening to
jazz and classical music, and spending quality time with his wife,
Lacey, and four children. In his free time, he also is regular contributor to BP Sports.
